100 FT. CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING
NOVEMBER 30, 2021 at 6 - 9 PM
The City's tree lighting will take place on November 30th at Old School Square Park and E. Atlantic Avenue from Swinton to Federal Highway. We encourage all businesses on the Avenue to decorate and activate the space in front of your business. The City is looking for vendors as well to fill in spaces, so email
BeardsleyD@mydelraybeach.com if you are going to be open, activate or would like to have a tent space.
How You can get involved: Become a vendor for the holiday festivities, Be open and activate, be a part of the Holiday Parade, and/or decorate your business storefront for the Holiday Window Decor Contest.

The Merchants had an open discussion about the importance of business involvement around downtown, specifically in programs and events (such as Halloween festivities and Art & Jazz!). To help businesses become more involved a Calendar of Events has been shared:

DDA BOARD MEETING
November 8, 2021 at 12:00 PM

Regular meetings are scheduled for the second Monday of the month, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. These meetings include information about what the DDA has been working on and will be working on as well as updates from our partner organizations – The City, CRA, and Chamber. If you are interested in attending, members of the public are asked to attend via zoom if possible as space is limited.

October Board Meeting Highlights:
- Reviewed the Sundy Village project
- Approved an Art & Activation Grant that will be available later this year to Downtown Delray Beach property owners and businesses.

Road Closure: NE 3rd Ave.

October 22 - October 29, 2021 - 8 AM - 4 PM
There will be a full road closure in front of 325 NE 3rd Ave beginning on October 22nd until the 29th.
M.O.T. NE 3RD AVE CLOSURE

Road Closure: Atlantic Ave. from Venetian Dr. to Andrews Ave. (beachside)

October 27, 2021 - 3 PM - 11 PM
There will be a full road closure along Atlantic Avenue (on the beachside) from Venetian Dr. to Andrews Ave. for the Art & Jazz on the Ave. event. Streets will close at 3 PM, so ALL vehicular traffic including cars parked in parking spaces along the road MUST be moved prior to 3 PM or they will be towed by the City of Delray Beach. Please advise any visitors, employees, and customers that come in that day!

Rolling Road Closure: Delray Witches Ride

October 30th, 2021 - 7 - 9:30 AM
There will be a rolling road closure starting at City Hall for the Delray Witches Ride on Saturday morning. Starting at 8AM the ride will go from City Hall, to NE 2nd Ave. down Atlantic Avenue (heading East) to A1A and returning back along Atlantic Ave. (heading West) ending at Old School Square Park around 9:30AM.

DOWNTOWN UPDATES

NEW SPONSOR OPPORTUNITY -- We are looking for sponsors to assist with our expanded hours for our Safety Ambassador Program. Sponsorship dollars go toward expanded the hours of our Safety Ambassadors as well as hiring more yellow shirts to help patrol the downtown. We are excited to welcome Big Al’s Steaks, Rocco’s Tacos, Elisabetta’s as sponsors! Sponsor logos will be featured on the Safety Ambassador golf cart. Interested in becoming a sponsor? Halloween Trick or Treating Update -- HAPPY HALLOWEEN! THANK YOU to all of the businesses that handed out candy to our influx of Trick-or-treaters this past Saturday the 23rd! Due to an overwhelming turn out of Trick-or-Treaters on Saturday, October 23rd, despite the weather, we will not be hosting a formal trick-or-treat along the ave. event on Saturday, October 30th. However, we encourage you to still be prepared that some Trick-or-Treaters might show up on the 30th.

The Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is a dependent taxing authority, within the City of Delray Beach, which was established in 1971 by way state statute. The DDA is funded by a special tax levy on properties within its district boundaries. Our mission is to grow, strengthen, and enhance the economic vitality of Downtown Delray Beach.
